City of London – Children Missing from Education Campaign

City of London – Children Missing from Education Campaign

City of London have launched a public-facing campaign to raise awareness of the signs of children missing from education and what to do if you’re concerned about someone. Children missing from education are more likely to be at risk of:

– being abused or exploited at home

– being illegally employed

– becoming involved in criminal activity

– committing antisocial behaviour

– misusing drugs and alcohol.

Campaign materials have been produced including a leaflet and posters covering sub-themes of CME including domestic servitude, young carers and child sexual exploitation. These posters will be displayed at Liverpool Street, Cannon Street, Blackfriars and Thameslink stations as well as at other points across the City during September.

How to get involved: From 1 September, you can help to spread the word by sharing the webpage on social media: http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/services/education-learning/schools/Pages/children-missing-from-education.aspx using #backtoschool
